The Gibela Rail Transport Consortium has partnered with the Tshwane University of Technology to boost manufacturing capacity and skills development in South Africa’s rail sector.

The Gibela Research Chair, which is a key driver on innovation and skills development in South Africa’s rail manufacturing sector, has been granted a four-year extension, securing its continuation until 2030.

The Chair has supported 39 master’s and 24 Doctoral candidates, contributing to a total of 51 graduates in the past 5 years.

Luxury South African Shopping Mall Sandton City has achieved an occupancy rate of 99.9% marking a significant milestone for any retail centre in the country.

The high occupancy rate reflects a successful strategic overhaul of the mall and the strong demand for premium retail spaces.

The mall is widely regarded as the country’s richest centre, due to its luxury offerings and location in South Africa's richest square mile.
Sandton City is the fourth biggest shopping mall in the country, with approximately 148,000m2 of lettable space.

The mall continues to attract top global brands, solidifying its position as a premier shopping destination in South Africa and on the continent.

South Africa hosted the 28th annual Africa Tech Festival at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
Over 15000 global attendees and more than 300 exhibitors came together, connecting the local ecosystem with the world, while reaffirming the city’s status as Africa’s Tech capital.

The festival is Africa’s biggest showcase of Tech innovation across key sectors including cybersecurity, connectivity, cloud and data centres, ICT and Entertainment.
