The Zurich Foundation in partnership with Junior Achievement South Africa hosted Young people from Alexandra, who gathered at the Ikemeleng Youth Centre, for the Future Leaders Social Equity Programme on the 21st of May.

Youth facilitator Pastor Unathi Pan said the five-day programme focused on equipping the youth with business skills, while addressing community challenges, with discussions that highlighted the importance of resilience and determination.

Junior Achievement South Africa says beyond the workshop, the organization will run a three-month coaching and mentorship programme to ensure sustained growth.

Landscape Designer Leon Kluge has won a gold medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London.
The designer's display featured over 25,000 plant stems, including 40 different protea varieties.
Kluge, who completed his B-Tech in Landscape Technology in 2009 through the Department of Horticulture, was the mastermind behind South Africa’s show-stopping displays in both 2024 and 2025.

The victories mark his fourth and fifth Chelsea Gold medals, having also won in 2018 and 2019, and reaffirm his status as a visionary in the world of landscape and floral design.
