WWF South Africa has launched the Nature Is Our Home campaign to encourage people to protect the environment through everyday actions.
The organisation aims to restore five million hectares of land and sea, improve the lives of five million people and help direct R50 billion towards nature-positive projects by 2030.
The campaign encourages South Africans to save water, recycle, support local farmers and join community conservation efforts.
WWF says small actions by millions of people can make a lasting difference for the country's natural environment.

Grade 6 learners across South Africa can now apply for the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation High School Scholarship Programme.

The index assessed countries based on healthcare, visa accessibility, health insurance requirements, cost of living and how easily retirees can settle into local communities.
South Africa ranked behind the Philippines, Thailand, Colombia and Portugal in the global survey.
The report says retirees who choose South Africa contribute to the economy by buying property, supporting local businesses and spending in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
