Rescue is Life, Foster Love Animal Rescue and the Cape of Good Hope SPCA carried out a free mass cat sterilisation drive in Mitchells Plain, where 103 cats were sterilised in a single day.
The initiative took place at Hazeldene Primary School Hall in Portlands and brought together veterinary teams and volunteers to support local pet owners.
Each cat also received vaccinations, rabies protection, flea and tick treatment, a microchip and food for recovery.
The organisations say the intervention will help prevent thousands of unwanted litters in future and reduce cat overpopulation in the area.
