Transport Deputy Minister Mkhuleko Hlengwa has called on the transport and logistics industry to drive real change in society by transforming the industry and uplifting communities through various sectors of the economy.
Speaking at the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Conference, Hlengwa emphasized the need for real change in society through economic growth and job creation.
He highlighted the transport sector's potential to contribute to sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
The Deputy Minister says the transformation and development of small businesses is a key component and contributor to government’s economic development agenda.

In a remarkable display of community spirit, over 3,500 corporate volunteers gathered at the Sandton Convention Centre earlier this month to pack 650-thousand meals for children across South Africa.
The project, spearheaded by Rise Against Hunger Africa marked one of the largest annual mobilisations of the country’s corporate sector for a single cause: Child development through nutrition.
This was aimed to support child development through nutrition, with the meals set to be distributed to over 78,500 children at early childhood development centres nationwide.
