Western Cape Cultural Affairs and Sport MEC Ricardo Mackenzie says the third G20 Culture Working Group meeting currently underway in the province, will focus on how culture and heritage can be developed and enhanced through the use of technology.
The meeting gathers representatives from G-20 countries to deliberate on how they can take forward culture and implement it in terms of development plans and growing culture in various countries.
The session is taking place under the theme: "Solidarity, Equality and Sustainability":

In a remarkable display of community spirit, over 3,500 corporate volunteers gathered at the Sandton Convention Centre earlier this month to pack 650-thousand meals for children across South Africa.
The project, spearheaded by Rise Against Hunger Africa marked one of the largest annual mobilisations of the country’s corporate sector for a single cause: Child development through nutrition.
This was aimed to support child development through nutrition, with the meals set to be distributed to over 78,500 children at early childhood development centres nationwide.

The 2025 FISU World University Games came to a close on Sunday in Germany with Team South Africa receiving a well-deserved standing ovation for their impressive performance.
The team finished 7th overall, winning 19 medals: 6 gold, 5 silver, and 8 bronze.
South Africa's achievement is notable, as they were the only African country to make it into the Top 10.
