Led by Lynne Maclean, affectionately called the ‘Mother of the Park,’ the team includes Patricia Nementzik and Rajendra Mahabeer, who regularly clean the park on Friday and Saturday mornings.
Their efforts have inspired other community members and parkrun participants to join in whenever possible, with an average of five bags of litter collected each cleanup.
The team’s commitment has helped maintain the park’s natural beauty, attracting more runners and families to enjoy the space.
Maclean also volunteers as a parkrun marshal, encouraging runners with her trademark whistle and cheers, making her a beloved figure in the community.
