Big Changes at Sandton Racquet Club

Over the past two years, Sandton Racquet Club has seen some exciting upgrades.
The highlight for 2025 is the completion of the club’s four padel courts, which are now open and ready for both members and visitors to enjoy. Club manager Drago Elez thanked the Johannesburg Property Company for approving the renovation. In 2026, the four tennis courts are set to be renovated and redesigned with multi-sport markings to support a variety of activities, including soccer and cricket academies, basketball, netball, martial arts, yoga, Pilates, and dance programmes.

WBHO to Expand Cape Winelands Airport

The Cape Winelands Airport has named WBHO as the main construction company for its R8-billion expansion, marking an exciting step toward building South Africa’s next big aviation hub.The project will bring a new boutique terminal, improved runways, better cargo and logistics facilities, and an upgraded general aviation area. Airport representative Deon Cloete says the development could support more than 100,000 jobs over its first 20 years and is expected to give tourism and investment in the Western Cape a big boost.
