Kyalami hosts South Africa’s biggest motoring showcase

The Festival of motoring is underway at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand.
The Festival is South Africa’s largest industry supported motoring event, with more than 25 automotive brands, over 100 exhibitors and an expected 32 000 visitors.
Hospitality options include family-friendly viewing areas, premium packages reserved for guests aged 16 and older and additional paid driving experiences.
Visitors will be able to test the latest models under supervision on the main circuit, as well as on a dedicated self-handling track featuring more than 40 vehicles.

Limpopo's Matric achievers recognised for excellence

The Adopt-a-School Foundation is supporting education excellence in Limpopo by recognising outstanding learners and teachers at the Vhembe East District Class of 2025 Matric Awards and the 2026 National Teaching Awards Provincial Ceremony.
The Foundation supported the district’s Top 25 learners with laptops and other resources,
while four top-performing learners from Quintiles 1 to 4 were awarded Standard Bank vouchers valued at R5,000.
The Foundation recognised outstanding educators through the National Best Teacher and Kader Asmal Lifetime Achievement awards, with winners receiving R15,000 vouchers, laptops and other educational materials.
The contribution is aimed at ensuring that academic achievement is supported with practical resources that can assist learners as they progress to further education and future opportunities.

The annual National Arts and Culture Awards took place at the Sun City Resort in the North West Province last week.
The awards recognised excellence across six disciplines through 20 competitive awards, including Heritage, Visual Arts and Craft, Design and Performing Arts.
The recipients reflect the breadth of South Africa’s creative and cultural landscape and the contribution made by artists and institutions to the country’s cultural identity and creative economy.
Ministerial awards were handed out to individuals whose work and contribution have made a significant impact on the country’s arts and culture landscape.
The awards recognised excellence across six disciplines through 20 competitive awards, including Heritage, Visual Arts and Craft, Design and Performing Arts.
