The Rand Airport Airshow will return to Germiston this Sunday.
The event will feature aerobatics, historic aircraft and high-energy aerial performances, as well as static aircraft displays throughout the event.

The programme will include aerial performances by the Puma Flying Lions, Master Power Extra 330s, the classic Beech 18 and other aircraft.
Flight schools will also be present to showcase their training programmes and aviation career opportunities.

The South African National Parks has officially launched the new Golden Gate Zipline adventure at the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in the Free State.
The course features 7 cables and platforms, with the longest cable stretching up to 650 meters.

Golden Gate Highlands park manager Paddy Gordon says the new attraction is part of efforts to ensure that national parks offer experiences that appeal to a broader range of visitors and to attract people who may never have considered visiting the park.

The annual National Arts and Culture Awards took place at the Sun City Resort in the Northwest Province last week.
The awards recognised excellence across six disciplines through 20 competitive awards, including Heritage, Visual Arts and Craft, Design and Performing Arts.

The recipients reflect the breadth of South Africa’s creative and cultural landscape and the contribution made by artists and institutions to the country’s cultural identity and creative economy.
Ministerial awards were handed out to individuals whose work and contribution have made a significant impact on the country’s arts and culture landscape.
