Sandton Fun Factory has received international recognition after its early childhood financial literacy programme was awarded an Excellence in Financial Literacy Education Award in the United States.
The initiative teaches children aged three to six basic money concepts such as saving, spending and banking through trained educators.
The programme has already expanded to around 600 early childhood centres across South Africa, supported by partnerships including Discovery Bank.
It is now being extended to teacher training colleges and neighbouring countries as part of its long term growth.
