The DP World Wanderers Stadium in Illovo celebrated 70 years of sporting history on September 22.
The iconic venue opened in 1956 and hosted its first Test match that year, when South Africa played England.
Its first One Day International followed in 1992, when South Africa faced India.
The Wanderers has since hosted major international events, including the 2003 and 2007 Cricket World Cup finals, and is set to welcome another ICC World Cup final in 2027

Actuarial Bursary Programme Opens Opportunities For 15 Students

ISFAP and the ASISA Foundation have launched a new bursary programme supporting 15 undergraduate and postgraduate actuarial science .
The programme will cover full study costs at five universities, with students also receiving monthly allowances, academic and psychosocial support.
Beneficiaries will also receive financial literacy training through the L+EarnSecure The Bag programme, covering money management and financial planning.

Better Bryanston brought Bryanston residents together for a free social run at Decathlon at the Winnie Mandela Precinct.
Participants could choose between 5km and 10km routes, with both running and walking welcomed.
The event was held as part of World Clean-up Day and encouraged residents to stay active while taking greater pride in their neighbourhood.
Families and friends were also invited to enjoy the morning together.
