McKenzie was addressing the 4th Culture Working Group meeting of the G20 in Ballito, before the ministerial meeting on Wednesday, the last before the G20 Johannesburg summit next month.
This year's discussion focussed on strengthening global collaboration, culture, sustainability and innovation with an aim of promoting culture as a driver of sustainable development and the creative economy:

With more people planning outdoor activities, EMS is emphasizing the importance of avoiding unsafe water areas to prevent accidents and drownings.
In a recent media statement, EMS media liaison officer Kagiso Phasha stressed that rivers, dams, and lakes are not safe for swimming, urging residents to stick to designated swimming pools and municipal facilities where trained lifeguards are present.
The department also reminded parents and guardians to vigilantly supervise children near water, whether at home or in public spaces.

South Africa's preparations for the 2025 African Cup of Nations are taking shape, with Bafana Bafana set to play a friendly match at home in early December before departing for Morocco.
Head Coach Hugo Broos confirmed this during a media roundtable, stating that the team will begin preparations on December 8 in Pretoria and stay until December 17.
He says the team will face Egypt, Angola, and Zimbabwe in Group B of the tournament, which kicks off on December 21, 2025, and runs until January 18, 2026.
