The Joburg City Theatres' annual Festival of Lights kicked off last night at the Joburg Zoo.
The festival features a range of entertainment, including local dance groups like Jozi Youth Dance and musicians like The Soil and BlaqDiamond.
New this year is a nativity-scene play at the Farmhouse, aiming to bring the true spirit of Christmas closer to visitors.
Tickets are available online for R175, with a 50% discount on Black Friday.
Children under 3 enter free, and the festival runs until January 4, 2026.

The ERA is simplifying e-waste recycling by creating a bridge between consumers and producers.
They are installing collection bins in major retailers, as well as municipal offices, through the Extended Producer Responsibility regulations.
The organisation also works with buyback centres to ensure safe e-waste recycling.
