Johannesburg City Parks has removed months-old debris from Lonehill Park, restoring the area for local residents to enjoy.
The clean-up, which began on 21 November, addressed leftover material from previous maintenance work that had remained in the park for several months.

Kyle Akaloo makes history with South African pool Grand Slam

South African pool champion Kyle Akaloo has made history by winning all six national pool championships in a single season, achieving the country’s first Grand Slam in cue sports.
The 35-year-old from Malvern secured victories in the 9 Ball and Straight Pool Championships in April, the Heyball Championship in May, the 8 Ball Championship in August, and capped the season with wins in the Bank Pool and 10 Ball championships last weekend.
Akaloo, who is preparing for the Heyball African Open in Egypt, is also the only player in South Africa to hold simultaneous number one rankings in both pool and snooker.
