EDHE Intervarsity 2025 crowns top student innovators

The EDHE Intervarsity 2025 was held from 24 to 26 November at the Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre, bringing together student entrepreneurs from across South Africa to showcase ventures in tech, social impact, general business, and research commercialisation.
Mpho Kotlolo, a PhD candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Tshwane University of Technology, won the EDHE Absa Innovation Challenge, receiving R500 000 to develop age-appropriate antiretroviral drugs for children with HIV/AIDS.
She was also named Top Student Innovator of the Year and Top Student Woman Innovator.
