Over 100 blankets donated to Pretoria communities

Over 100 blankets collected during a community drive at the Voortrekker Monument are being distributed to old age homes, care centres and vulnerable communities across Pretoria as winter sets in.
The initiative was led by Solidarity’s community development organisation, the Jacaranda Beetle Club and MachKnitz volunteers who knitted and crocheted the blankets.
A convoy of 32 Beetle cars transported the blankets, which were first displayed at the Voortrekker Monument before distribution.
