Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie says South Africa must continue honouring people who helped shape the country’s democracy and freedom.
This comes as the country recently honoured national heroes and individuals at the National Orders ceremony.
McKenzie says the country is recognising people for their sacrifice, talent and service, adding that generations born into freedom continue to benefit from their contributions:

In Hillcrest, Woza Moya’s Gogolympics photo exhibition celebrates grandmothers from the Valley of a Thousand Hills and raises funds for a sports day involving more than 800 elderly participants.
Meanwhile, the 031 Theatre Festival will showcase comedy, drama and music productions by local and visiting performers. The festival also includes productions by students from the International School of Performing Arts.
