The JSE Art Share collaborated with the photography initiative, Of Soul and Joy, to showcase the Children of the Light exhibition, celebrating the success of the organisations in empowering young artists to develop their skills and to gain exposure.

The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of photographers, giving young people the opportunity to share their take on life in creative and new ways.

Basic Education hosts learner Leadership Summit

The three-day Learner Leadership Summit took place at the Johannesburg City Council where learners engaged in a joint sitting of Learner Leaders for the G20 in the City Council.

The Summit was hosted in partnership with the Agape Youth Movement and the Mr Price Foundation with the core objective to support and strengthen the functioning of RCLs across all provinces.

Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube, has called on young people to take up space in their respective communities in order to transform the country.

The Minister says young people are the backbone that will help drive change on the African continent.
