Thousands of South Africans have helped raise more than R4.4 million to replace dangerous pit toilets at 50 schools across KwaZulu Natal and Mpumalanga.
The nationwide fundraising campaign, led by LottoStar, Breadline Africa and multiple radio stations, has already improved safety and dignity for thousands of learners.
The latest project will provide new sanitation facilities at four more schools in KwaZulu Natal, benefiting hundreds of learners and educators.

Restaurants from across the Garden Route put their culinary skills to the test at the 17th annual Gourmets and Gourmands charity event in George, serving themed four course meals to raise funds for Carpe Diem School.
This year's Moroccan inspired event brought together top chefs, local businesses and guests for an evening of fine dining and a charity auction, with all proceeds supporting programmes for children with special needs at the school.

Community Emergency Response Team South Africa, also known as CERT SA, has welcomed 250 blood donors to its Christmas in July Naughty and Nice Blood Drive in Centurion.
The event brought together more than 40 organisations, including emergency services, police and community groups, to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation through live demonstrations and family entertainment.
Visitors also donated non perishable food to support the Lewende Woord Food Bank.
