Gauteng Education Adds More Walk-In Admission Centres

The Gauteng Education Department has added more walk-in admission centres.
The Department has set up 81 walk-in centers across the province to assist parents with online school admissions for Grades 1 and 8.
These centers provide free assistance with online submissions, profile creation, and document uploads, particularly for parents without digital tools or connectivity
In Johannesburg, walk-in support is available in the Central, East, North, South, and West regions.
Sites include Muzomuhle Primary in Diepsloot, Lenasia South Secondary, Bree Primary in Mayfair West, and Waverley Girls High.
The closing date for applications is 29 August.

Tshwane Celebrates 10 Years of Empowering Young Dreams with Children’s Flight Initiative

The City of Tshwane, in partnership with the Children’s Flight organisation, marked the 10th anniversary of the Children’s Flight initiative, at the Wonderboom National Airport in Pretoria.
More than 1-thousand children from various care centres and under-resourced communities were given the opportunity to experience the thrill of flight — many for the very first time, through the support of over 175 sponsors.
The event aims to provide life-changing experiences for children from various care centers.

The IMO is one of the biggest mathematics competitions in the world, where high school students compete to show off their mathematics skills.
