Curro Krugersdorp Leads Record Flood Relief Drive to Mpumalanga

Curro Krugersdorp and the West Rand community have joined forces in a record-breaking drive to support families affected by floods in Mpumalanga.
The school collected the largest volume of relief goods in its history, including bottled water, non-perishable food, clothing, shoes, blankets, hygiene packs and household essentials, contributed by learners, parents, staff and local community members.
The donations were delivered on the same day as Curro Krugersdorp’s Interhouse Athletics event, giving the day a sense of shared purpose.

SAPS honours excellence at national awards in Bloemfontein

The South African Police Service has hosted its 14th Annual National Excellence Awards in Bloemfontein under the theme Serving with Integrity, Celebrating Excellence.
More than 30 categories recognised acts of bravery, strong investigative work and commitment to communities.
The top honours were the National Commissioner’s and Minister’s Awards, with only one overall winner receiving a brand new vehicle.
The awards aim to promote professionalism and inspire others within the service.

Joburg Ombudsman Hosts Outreach for Randburg Residents

Residents in Region B will have the chance to raise service delivery concerns directly with the City of Johannesburg Ombudsman.
Two events are planned in Randburg this February. A citizen information clinic will be held on February 5 at the Ferndale Recreation Centre, guiding residents on their rights and how to lodge complaints.
An open day at the Randburg Civic Centre on February 7 will bring multiple city departments together, allowing issues to be addressed on the spot.
Attendees are urged to bring a valid ID, proof of residence, and municipal accounts. Support will be available for billing queries, updates on existing complaints, and registering new issues.
The outreach aims to strengthen the connection between the city and its residents, helping communities get the services they need.
