Sharonlea-based motorsport legend Alan Kernick has been inducted into the Motorsport South Africa Hall of Fame. This comes in recognition of his outstanding achievements and lifelong commitment to the sport. A second-generation racing driver, Kernick dedicated his life to motorsport, contributing both on the track and behind the scenes.In 1984, Kernick began building his own Tasman racing cars, producing 20 vehicles over the years. Among them was a pioneering Formula Vee in 1989, the first in South Africa to feature inboard suspension and cockpit-adjustable brake bias.

Black Coffee Delivers Thousands of Food Parcels

The Black Coffee Foundation has delivered 4,800 food parcels to households across South Africa. Founded by DJ Black Coffee, the organisation has been raising funds to expand deliveries during the holiday period. 'Feed A Family and Share The Joy', kicked off earlier this month in KwaZulu-Natal, followed by Eastern Cape, then Gauteng, spreading joy and support to those in need. The project collects donations to buy and distribute food parcels to families affected by high food prices and job losses. A R1,000 donation feeds one family, with donors acknowledged on the parcel.
