Lamola says negotiations at ministerial level will shape the Johannesburg declaration.
Key meetings ahead include the G20 Compact with Africa in Johannesburg, a food security session in Cairo, Egypt and an industrialisation summit in Abuja, Nigeria.

SASSA Rolls Out Biometric Enrolment to Combat Fraud

The South African Social Security Agency will introduce mandatory beneficiary biometric enrolment at all its offices across the country from 1 September.
The move aims to reduce fraud and improve efficiency in the administration of social grants.
Using fingerprint or facial recognition technology, the biometric system will verify the identity of recipients and serve as a safeguard against fraudulent activities.
SASSA CEO Themba Matlou confirmed that the agency is ready to implement the new system, which is expected to enhance audit outcomes, streamline documentation, and boost public trust in the social grants system.

South African runner Sibusiso Kubheka has broken the world record by running 100 kilometers in under six hours.
Kubheka completed the Adidas Chasing 100 challenge in Italy in an incredible 5-hours-59 minutes-and 20 seconds.
The event, which took place on Tuesday night to avoid the heat, saw 3 out of 5 elite athletes cross the finish line, with American Charlie Lawrence and former record-holder Aleksandr Sorokin of Lithuania finishing second and third, respectively.
Kubheka's remarkable achievement has cemented his place in the record books.
