Ninety small scale livestock farmers from North West and Limpopo have graduated from a two week training programme hosted by the University of Pretoria at its Onderstepoort Campus.
The course equipped farmers with practical skills in animal health, productivity, disease prevention and livestock marketing, helping them access formal agricultural markets and strengthen rural economies.
The training also formed part of a wider community development initiative supported by industry partners, aimed at improving food security and building sustainable farming businesses.

Award-winning comedian Trevor Noah is set to headline a new national comedy tour as part of Savanna’s inaugural South Africa’s Festival of Comedy.
The “BaFunny BaFunny” tour will feature a mix of established and emerging local talent, with five shows planned across three cities.
The tour kicks off at SunBet Arena in September before heading to GrandWest Casino, with more dates and performers expected to be announced.
Organisers say the festival aims to grow the local comedy scene and give rising comedians a bigger platform alongside well-known names.

The unit can care for up to 16 infants at a time, while improving space and conditions for families and healthcare workers.
