Linden, in Johannesburg has been recognized as one of the world's coolest neighborhoods, ranking 17th on TimeOut's 2025 list.
This list celebrates neighborhoods that embody the soul of their city while showcasing unique character.
Linden's laid-back atmosphere, leafy streets, and eclectic mix of local stores and cafes has earned it a spot alongside other top neighborhoods globally.
At the top of the list is Jimbōchō in Tokyo, home to 130 second-hand bookstores.

Sunday is the last day for the public to make use of the South African National Parks Week which has been running from 22nd September 2025.
This gives South Africans free access to explore the country’s natural treasures.
It aims to encourage citizens to experience and appreciate their natural heritage.
SANParks says the week is designed to broaden access for communities who may not otherwise have the means to visit the parks and to inspire pride in South Africa’s rich biodiversity.

The City of Cape Town has launched the first commercial fully electric boats at the V&A Waterfront, unveiled by City Sight-seeing Cape Town.
The eco-friendly ride seats 32-passengers.
