North-West University Business School economist, Professor Raymond Parsons says South Africa’s removal from the grey list will help to improve investor confidence and reduce the costs associated with overseas financia0l transactions.
The Financial Action Task Team announced the removal of South Africa following extensive reforms and collaboration across government, regulators, and the financial sector to strengthen the integrity of the country’s financial system.
Parsons says this is good news for the economy and is a confidence-building factor at a critical time in the business cycle:

54 outstanding high school learners have been awarded bursaries through the Water and Sanitation Department’s Learning Academy.
15 primary school learners also received cash prizes totalling R225, 000 on behalf of their schools at the Department’s Water and Sanitation Educational Programme National Adjudication.
Water and Sanitation Deputy Minister David Mahlobo says the awards are paving the way for a brighter future in the water and sanitation sector.

Tourism and hospitality leaders from across KwaZulu-Natal will convene at The Oyster Box Hotel on the 6th of November, for the inaugural KZN Tourism and Hospitality Think Tank.
The event aims to explore opportunities and
create practical solutions to drive growth in the province’s tourism sector.
Proceeds will benefit Touching Dreams’ Think Big Academy in KZN, which creates youth employment opportunities in tourism.
