Drysdale Road Reopens After Flood Repairs in Sundowner

The Johannesburg Roads Agency has reopened Drysdale Road in Sundowner, Randburg, following over a month of repairs.
The closure, which began on 4 September, was necessary after severe floods caused a section of the road to collapse.
JRA’s work included restoring the embankment, reconstructing the roadway, installing guardrails, and reinforcing the road with gabion structures.
Surface patching and improved drainage were also completed to reduce the risk of future erosion.

South Africa and Brazil Strengthen Education Ties with New MoU

Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube and her Brazilian counterpart Camilo Santana signed a Memorandum of Understanding to boost cooperation between the two countries.
