Bryanston residents mark clean-up milestone year
Story 2
Residents and volunteers gathered at Bryanston Country Club last week as Better Bryanston reflected on a year of community-driven clean-up efforts in the suburb.
Since launching in May last year, the non-profit has organised weekly clean-ups to tackle illegal dumping, litter, and overgrown public spaces in Bryanston.
The group says local residents and donors have helped fund the initiative, which now spends about five-thousand rand a week on labour and maintenance.
Better Bryanston hopes to expand clean-ups to twice a week as it continues working to restore and maintain public spaces in the community.
