Table View Policing precinct introduces news junior Commissioners

The Table View policing precinct in the Western Cape has introduced its three Junior Commissioners of the South African Police Service in Table View.
The High School learners were elected into roles including Junior Station Commander and Junior Support Commander.
The roles of the appointed Junior Commissioners entail promoting school safety, the support of the school safety committee and assisting the Police Station's Social Crime Prevention Coordinator with campaigns and initiatives in response to crimes in schools.
The Junior Commissioners will be serving a two-year term in their posts.

Nzimande stresses African Collaboration in Science and Technology

The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Blade Nzimande, has called on African leaders to unite and actively participate in the upcoming G20 Summit.
The Minister made the remarks while addressing various stakeholders from across the continent at the African Science Leaders G20 Dialogue, currently underway at the University of Mpumalanga in Mbombela.
The minister also stressed the importance of building robust scientific infrastructure, enhancing math and science education, and reducing dependency on external funding.
Nzimande challenged African governments to increase research investment, retain scientific talent and use science to guide policymaking across all sectors.
