Community leader Nkosinathi Mbonani has been honoured as a Halls Winter Hero through the "Breathe Through It, Mzansi" campaign in recognition of his dedication to serving those in need.

Mbonani continues to make a meaningful impact through the Nkosinathi Mbonani Foundation where he leads several outreach initiatives in the East Rand including soup kitchens at schools and clinics, winter charity soccer tournaments and clothing donation drives for communities in need of assistance.

The recognition highlights the positive impact of grassroots community leadership and celebrates the difference that ordinary citizens can make through acts of kindness, generosity and service.

The Department of Communications and Digital Technologies, together with its entities, has taken steps to empower young people in the Eastern Cape, through a programme focused on digital skills, innovation and technology.

The programme was designed to expose youth to opportunities within the digital economy while providing them with the knowledge and tools needed to participate meaningfully in a technology-driven world.

Stellenbosch University has once again been ranked among the world's leading higher education institutions in the latest QS World University Rankings.

The university is ranked 296th globally, placing it third in both South Africa and Africa.

The institution's Deputy Vice-Chancellor Sibusiso Moyo says the achievement reflects stronger performance in key areas including research excellence, academic reputation and international collaboration, reinforcing the institution's growing global reputation.
