The Basic Education Department has urged learner leaders to be active agents of change, as the national Learner-Leadership Summit continues today in Benoni.
Addressing RCL members from across the country, Chief Director James Ndlebe stressed the importance of not leaving disadvantaged pupils behind, saying true success is shared success.
The summit, which started on Wednesday, focuses on building a resilient and inclusive education system under the theme “Strengthening Foundations for Learning Towards a Resilient Future-Fit Education.”
Youth-led ideas took centre stage, including a mental health app from the North West and Limpopo’s Green Education Project promoting food security and practical skills.
