Mineral and Petroleum Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe will host the G20 Critical Minerals Stakeholder Engagement on Tuesday, 29 July 2025, at the Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel, Sandton, from 09h00 to 14h00.
Under the theme “Harnessing Critical Minerals for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development,” the event will outline the G20 Critical Minerals Framework and promote collaboration between government, industry, labour, and the public.

The City of Tshwane, in partnership with the Children’s Flight organisation, marked the 10th anniversary of the Children’s Flight initiative, at the Wonderboom National Airport in Pretoria.More than 1,000 children from various care centres and under-resourced communities were given the opportunity to experience the thrill of flight — many for the very first time, through the support of over 175 sponsors.
The event aims to provide life-changing experiences for children from various care centers.
