Kliptown ECD centre improves child safety and learning

The Angel Paradise Daycare Centre in Kliptown is helping young children stay safe while preparing for school.
The centre began after founder and principal Lucrucia Hollander noticed children were left unsupervised and at risk in Eldorado Park.
It has grown into a registered early childhood development programme, strengthened through professional training and the free IMBE Accelerator Programme, which improved classroom safety, financial management, and learning facilities, including a new jungle gym.
The centre also runs aftercare programmes and supports children from families who cannot afford fees.

South Africa to host World Economic Forum Africa Summit in 2027

The summit will bring together African and international business leaders, government officials and experts to discuss investment, trade and economic growth.
Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille says the event will strengthen the tourism sector and showcase South Africa’s ability to host major international gatherings.
International relations expert Professr Oscar van Heerden adds this is an indication of the world recognising South Africa’s potential and capability.
