Mpho, from the rural village of Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga, left a secure career as a medical scientist to pursue her medical degree and return home to serve her community.
After struggling with outstanding fees, she launched an online fundraiser, which reached its R93,100 goal in just 11 days, largely due to a single generous donation.
The contribution lifts the financial burden and allows Mpho to continue her studies, keeping her dream of becoming a doctor and supporting healthcare in her community on track.
