A 41-year-old Tshwane University of Technology graduate has launched South Africa’s first Black woman–led mutual bank.

eNL Mutual Bank aims to redefine financial inclusion and community empowerment by expanding access to fair financing, supporting the growth of small and medium enterprises, while offering affordable housing-linked products to underserved communities.

Founder and accountant Nthabeleng Likotsi says the bank’s mission is rooted in addressing historic economic disparities and creating sustainable financial opportunities.

The bank was officially launched on Wednesday in Sandton.

SANParks Urges online booking for Kruger Day visitors

South African National Parks has urged day visitors to the Kruger National Park to book online during the festive season, as gate quotas will be in place to prevent overcrowding.

Visitors are required to arrive within their allocated time slots, pay applicable fees and ensure their vehicles display valid license plates.

SANParks spokesperson Reynold Thakhuli added that rangers, police, and members of the South African National Defence Force will be on duty to ensure visitor safety.
