The fourth annual Trails for Trunks event brought 246 runners, walkers and supporters together in Pretoria to raise support for HERD’s elephant conservation work.
Participants took on trail distances ranging from 2 to 15 kilometres at Hedianga Farm Trails, with some also joining virtually from around the world.
The event helps raise funds for HERD’s work rescuing, rehabilitating and providing lifelong care for orphaned elephants.

The competition focuses on innovative businesses that are commercially viable and address real challenges facing society.
Finalists will compete across five categories for a total prize pool of R1.2 million, with the overall Studentpreneur of the Year receiving R400,000.
The national final takes place on 26 November, following a programme of coaching to help finalists strengthen their businesses.
