DUT to host global GISU Urban Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

For the first time in Africa, the Durban University of Technology will host the grand finale of the global GISU Urban Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition next week.
This is in partnership with the Alliance of Guangzhou International Sister-City Universities.
The prestigious competition comprises students from 28 universities representing 23 different countries.
Representing DUT in the competition will be five student entrepreneurs, comprising three women and two males.
The competition will be held under the theme, Further Promoting Sustainable Urban Development.

Sandton sisters seek funding for zansi Inter-Provincial Chess Championship

3-talented sisters from Sandton, Anaamika, Arya, and Aditi Maharaj, are representing Gauteng at the Mzansi Inter-Provincial Chess Championship in Gqeberha this December.
The siblings have impressed with their skills, earning top spots in national and international tournaments, including the South African Junior Closed Chess Championships and the Tambo Soncini Games in Italy.
The Maharaj sisters are now seeking funding for entry fees, transport, and accommodation to attend Mzansi Inter-Provincial Chess Championship.
