Johannesburg’s new C Park hub opened on November 24, aiming to train thousands of young people and create up to 5 000 jobs annually in digital economy and e-commerce.
Backed by Chinese company CJITG, it offers a pathway from skills training to start-up incubation, linking local entrepreneurs to international markets.
Partnerships with SETAs and universities will train 2 000 youth annually and support 100 start-ups each year.
Officials say the project reflects both countries’ commitment to youth employment and digital skills development.

SA Tourism says Surf Expo Africa, taking place from 28 to 30 November at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, is expected to boost coastal economies and support job creation.
The event will bring influential global surf industry figures to South Africa, promoting the country as a world-class surf destination and tapping into a surf economy valued in the billions.
SA Tourism’s Thandiwe Mathibela says the expo will attract both domestic and international audiences, showcasing South Africa’s coastal attractions, blue-flag beaches, accommodation, cuisine and arts, while reinforcing the country’s ability to host major business events.

Children with Developmental Challenges Experience the Joy of Rodeo

Forty children with developmental challenges took part in the Little ‘Pardners’ Rodeo in Livermore, California, enjoying a day of cowboy and cowgirl activities.
Hosted by Donnie Perry, whose son has Down Syndrome, and organised by the Exceptional Needs Network, the event offered pony rides, lasso practice, and mechanical bull sessions. Perry said the rodeo gives children a safe environment to try new skills, feel included, and have fun without fear of judgment.
Laura Peters from the Exceptional Needs Network added that the event allows the children to simply be themselves, making it a day of joy and empowerment for all involved
