Olievenhoutbosch NPO Brings Light to the Community
Story 1
A dream to restore dignity and fight hunger in Olievenhoutbosch, Centurion has grown into the Rivoni Foundation—a non-profit founded in 2023 by Zimasa Zama Mretyana and friends.
From a small soup kitchen in Mretyana’s home, Rivoni now offers meals, clothing drives, and youth programmes. With help from volunteers, local donations, and support from Shoprite, they’re making a real difference—despite having no permanent centre.
They’ve even started a veggie garden to cut costs and feed more families.
Affectionately known as “The Rivonians,” the group hopes to soon open a dedicated centre with elderly care and youth mentorship.
