Polyco teaches 16,000 learners recycling habits

Million+ Grade 1 Recycling Education Programme by non-profit company, Polyco is teaching 16,000 learners across 100 schools how to separate recyclables and practice sustainable habits.
The programme, launched in 2024 combines classroom lessons with school activities that encourage children to bring recycling knowledge home.
Learners influence their households by practicing waste separation and asking questions about sustainability, spreading habits into communities.
By teaching recycling from the start, Polyco hopes more people will take part, keep waste clean and help South Africa reuse resources better.
