Malcolm Dorfman, a South African karate instructor and martial artist aged 79, is still going strong, training, going to the gym, and teaching karate five days a week. Dorfman began his karate journey at 19 after switching from judo and has dedicated nearly 60 years to the martial art. He says karate became his life's passion, and he continues to give it his all.While he has earned many achievements over the years, Dorfman says his greatest reward is still being able to train alongside much younger students, proving that staying active has no age limit.

Thousands of people are expected to take to the streets this morning, for the 702 Jozi My Jozi Walk the Talk. Starting and ending at the historic Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, participants can choose from 5km, 8km and 15km routes, passing some of the city’s best-known landmarks before enjoying live entertainment and family activities. This event transcends a simple walk – it is a powerful celebration of community spirit, health, family bonding and meaningful social impact.

A group of young South Africans is using drone technology to support police, emergency services and local communities. C-Tech, was developed through the non-profit Corinthians Africa’s STEAM education programme. Students have taken what they learned in the classroom and applied it to real-world challenges, using drones to provide aerial support during emergencies.During a day when several protests broke out across southern Johannesburg, police resources were stretched. C-Tech was called in to provide a live aerial view, helping officers identify which gatherings were peaceful and which required urgent attention.
