Starting and ending at the historic Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, participants can choose from 5km, 8km and 15km routes, passing some of the city’s best-known landmarks before enjoying live entertainment and family activities. This event transcends a simple walk – it is a powerful celebration of community spirit, health, family bonding and meaningful social impact.

C-Tech, was developed through the non-profit Corinthians Africa’s STEAM education programme. Students have taken what they learned in the classroom and applied it to real-world challenges, using drones to provide aerial support during emergencies.During a day when several protests broke out across southern Johannesburg, police resources were stretched. C-Tech was called in to provide a live aerial view, helping officers identify which gatherings were peaceful and which required urgent attention.

Rori excelled after delivering a powerful speech about his hero, Dr Emile Gouws. A passionate advocate for autism awareness and a prominent voice for the neurodivergent community, Dr Gouws has long inspired Rori. Weeks later, he impressed judges with his heartfelt speech about his inspiration and advanced to the provincial finals.

A new invention In Japan is offering people a cool escape from the heat: the Do Hiemon Box, a “human refrigerator” designed to cool one person at a time. About the size of a vending machine, the box maintains an internal temperature of around 15°C and blasts cool air around the user’s head, neck, shoulders and back. The invention was developed by refrigeration and vending machine manufacturer SDRS and is being used in workplaces and public spaces, particularly where people work outdoors.
