Centurion Golf Club has hosted women golfers as part of Women’s Month, giving players a platform to call for greater inclusion in the sport.
The golfers are calling for equal access to facilities and tee times, as well as the removal of barriers that limit women’s participation.
The club also hosted women golfers to raise funds for sanitary towels for girls.

Alexandra High School learners will explore South African history through drama, music, dance and visual art at the sixth Sibandla Theatre Festival on 29 August.
This year’s theme, “Echoes of Distortion”, looks at apartheid and the impact of colonialism on indigenous identity.
Learners will use performances to examine how events from the past continue to shape communities today.
Parents are invited to attend the festival and join discussions around the performances.

Sixteen U19 Girls Teams Compete in Johannesburg

Sixteen U19 girls’ football teams from across South Africa competed in the first Curro Halala Cup in Johannesburg earlier this month.
The tournament gave young players a national platform to compete, develop their skills and gain valuable experience.
Girls’ football teams across the Curro network have more than doubled in the past three years, with several players progressing to higher levels of the sport.
The tournament ended with the first girls’ final, crowning the inaugural Curro Halala Cup champions.
