20 Athletes Pull Truck for Charity

Twenty South African strength athletes will pull a 15-tonne truck from Centurion to Cape Town over 41 days, covering 1,650 kilometres for charity.
The Bigg Pull runs from 2 November to 12 December, with the team passing through more than 20 towns.
Sponsorships and donations will support the 19 beneficiary charities.
Organisers are also attempting a Guinness World Record for the distance covered while pulling the truck without assistance.
The event will be livestreamed daily on The Bigg Pull’s website.

30 Women Skaters Compete in Randburg

More than 30 female skaters from across South Africa competed in The Motherland, a women’s skateboarding competition hosted by The Skate School Academy at Ferndale Recreation Centre in Randburg on Sunday.
The event brought together beginners and experienced riders, with 19 skaters reaching the big-ramp final.
South African Olympic skateboarder Boipelo Awuah served as head judge, while the academy built the competition ramp by hand over three weeks.
The academy plans to seek sponsors to provide transport and accommodation and hopes to attract up to 70 girls to next year’s competition.
