Africa's critical minerals key to green energy future

Africa must utilize its critical minerals to drive industrial growth and lead the green energy revolution.
This according to Gauteng Growth and Development Agency executive, Sthembiso Dlamini, who addressed the African Critical Minerals Summit which got underway in Johannesburg yesterday.
Meanwhile the African Union has been called upon to be intentional in including local beneficiation of critical minerals as part of economic growth.

Runners supporting the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust have raised 800-thousand-rand at this year’s Comrades Marathon.
The charity run was a huge success, with volunteers and supporters coming together for a great cause.
The funds will help provide vital care and support to those in need.
The efforts of the runners and supporters were acknowledged by the Trust, also known as HACT, for significantly contributing to saving and transforming lives.

Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has named the Bok squad to face the All Blacks.
The teams meet in back-to-back Rugby Championship matches in Auckland on 6 September and Wellington on 13 September.
Out of the 38 players who were part of the squad for the two matches against Australia, 36 players will travel to New Zealand for the two test matches against the All Blacks.
Erasmus says the squad has been working hard since June, with seasoned players building on their experience and newer players proving their readiness for the challenge in recent series and matches.
