Money Smart Week South Africa kicked off yesterday, running until August-31 under the theme Smart Money: Financial Foundations for a Resilient Future.
The campaign, led by the National Treasury, aims to empower communities with knowledge and tools for informed financial decision making and this is done through workshops and online events.
Only half of South Africans are financially literate, making the initiative crucial.
The campaign hopes to reach millions and teach practical money skills.

The foundation, launched in 2016, aims to uplift scholars through education and sport.
