Cape Town Tourism has earned gold at the 2026 TITAN Brand Awards for its “My Cape Town” campaign in the Best Visual Storytelling Series category.The campaign was praised for its authentic approach, highlighting the city through the everyday experiences of its residents rather than traditional tourism imagery. Chief Marketing Officer Briony Brookes says the recognition reflects Cape Town’s global appeal and the power of community-driven storytelling.The initiative also supports inclusive tourism, helping to boost the local economy while giving visitors a more personal and meaningful view of the city.

Members of the Rand Athletics Club delivered inspiring performances at the demanding Two Oceans Marathon, a 56km race known for testing endurance and mental strength.
Veteran runner Moses Motshabi, aged 71, impressed with a strong finish of 05 hours 49 minutes earning second place in his age category. With 20 years of experience in the event, he says discipline and careful race selection have kept him going. Fellow club member Pule Sebolai also delivered a standout performance, completing the 56km race in 04 hours 23mins

The Jozi My Jozi movement is driving renewed efforts to restore key community spaces in Johannesburg. CEO Innocent Mabuse says the Ellis Park precinct has undergone a major transformation, with more than 300 solar powered streetlights improving visibility and safety. Roads have been repaired and walkways upgraded to make the area more accessible for residents, students and visitors.The initiative forms part of a broader push to revive the inner city, attract investment and encourage community pride in shared public spaces.
