Story 2
Bryanston Primary School, on Tuesday, has donated canned food, clothing, and books to Kids Haven, a children's home in Benoni.
The donations, which included a large collection of non-perishable food items, gently used clothing, and books, were all contributed by the learners.
This was the first time the school hosted such an event for Heritage Day, but hopes are high for it to become an annual tradition.
Teacher Tiaan Rheeder says the event, celebrating Heritage Day and Bryanston pride, aimed to support Kids Haven children's home and give back to the community by making a difference in less fortunate children's lives.
