Ward 2 Councillor Quentin Meyer, who raised the issue with the Tshwane metro, welcomed the repairs and said residents can now enjoy the park safely in the evenings.
The restored lighting is also expected to deter crime, while efforts continue to address maintenance and infrastructure challenges across the ward.

Robotic Exoskeleton Lets Children Take First Steps
Story 3
A Canadian wellness center is giving children with developmental disorders the chance to walk for the first time, thanks to a Trexo robotic exoskeleton donated to the facility, worth around R1.9 million.
The device senses leg and hip movement and assists with each step while letting feet touch the ground, helping build strength and coordination.
For Leo, born with a rare genetic condition, the machine has made walking possible despite doctors’ predictions.
Trexo Robotics was created by two University of Waterloo graduates inspired to help children like him. The donation is already changing lives and giving families hope.
